Annual General Meeting

Two weeks into the season and we're off to a Great Start!!  It is good to see all the familiar faces from last year; and it is fantastic to meet all the new ones!!  We hope our fun will continue to grow as the season progresses.

Annual General Meeting (AGM)
We hope to see new faces out as many hands make light work!

Tuesday, September 24th 7:30pm
at:  976 Sissons Court
Potlatch - Bring a snack or fingerfood to share

This meeting is open to all members, returning and new!  Please come out and help us plan for the next season.  The following topics are tabled for discussion:

Financial Report: last years' numbers and our starting position for this year.

Board and Coordinator Positions: we depend on our volunteers. If you think you may be interested in helping out: in a director position, as a coordinator, or just heading up a task, we encourage you to come down to the AGM to find out more.

Fundraising: we will be looking at last year's fundraising efforts and determine this year's plan.  A couple of new ideas include (raffle, silent auction, yard sale, scholastics, mabels labels, bake sale, etc) bring your thoughts, ideas and concerns to the table.

Membership Fees: we are looking at the idea of "membership" and considering adding a flat-rate membership fee option that could make room for "incentives".  Such as: A membership fee where one would be paying $16 per month per child but have access to all days; or a similar reduced rate strategy for Dayhomes, the goal of this change would be to increase attendance at sessions.

We are interested to hear YOUR thoughts about the current fee scheme, if you can't make the AGM, send us an e-mail, subject AGM Fees, to:

Toy Washes: proposed Day change: 4th Thursday each month

Purchasing: we will look at building a new committee for purchasing replacement toys and equipment needed as a result of the spring flood.

Fitness coordinator: last season we'd begun to incorporate exercise for caregivers.  We will look at the success of this and determine if we will try again. Fitness & active living grants could help offset cost.

CRC - First Aid/CPR: should our coordinators have this, is this something our Dayhomes and other members would be interested pursuing as a group?

We value your opinion! If you can't make the meeting, but want to have your say, put it in writing - e-mail us at: We'll bring your comments, question and concerns to the table for you !!

  1. Quite informative post on your annual general meeting. Recently, I arranged my company’s meeting at an excellent meeting space San Francisco. Arranged lunch by hiring an expert caterer and he prepared great food for all my clients.

We thank you for your comments, honest feedback can only help us improve!
